Lyttle, Alex (Calgary)

Middle grade author, pediatrician, nominated for 2018 Silver Birch award. $250 per session Alex Lyttle is a pediatrician living in Calgary, Alberta with his wife and three children.

He was raised in London, Ontario – the setting of his first novel, From Ant to Eagle, which he wrote based on his experiences working in the Pediatric Oncology unit. When he is not working, writing or playing basketball, he enjoys learning new magic tricks to perform for his young patients.

Alex Lyttle is an engaging presenter and has extensive experience working with children. After working as a camp counselor for several years, he pursued a career in pediatrics with a sub-specialty in allergy.

 

 

 

 

 

His presentations touch on both his experience as a doctor and as a writer, and he is happy to answer students’ questions on either.
