Y.S. Lee

Red Maple Fiction nominee for 2011

Authors' Booking Service is pleased to announce that children's author Y. S. Lee is now scheduling visits to Ontario schools.

Her rate is $250 for one session, $450 for two, $650 for three and $800 for four, plus HST and travel from Kingston.

Ying is a member of The Writers' Union of Canada; schools wishing to invite her may be eligible for a travel and fee subsidy to offset the cost of her visit. Contact us for details of this program.

Ying is a lively, experienced speaker who holds a PhD in Victorian literature and culture.

Here’s what Kirkus has to say about her work:

Debut author Y.S. Lee keeps the story wound tight, lacing it with gingery humor… Sparkling repartee fuels the story, but it’s not so snappy as to undercut Mary’s vulnerability—she’s a saucy, smart heroine it will be a pleasure to meet again.”
