Linda’s
Presentation Details:
My
presentations can be interactive with groups smaller than forty. The
content is as listed below:
- I start
out with a brief reading and a bit of background about myself and the
books I enjoyed reading as a child.
- I talk
about the events that started me writing the Grim Hill series.
- I talk
about where I got my ideas for the books and share a brainstorming
session with the audience if it is a small enough group
- I show
students some of the bumpier parts of the writing process...an edited
page
- I finish
with a brief reading and upcoming previews of future books
I will also
invite and answer questions.
Though this
book is ideally enjoyed by Grades 4-6, I have presented to Grade 3
students as well as Grade 8 students.
Maximum number of
students per session: This is flexible although smaller groups of
thirty or forty is more interactive.
Equipment
and other requirements:
- A
projector screen for a PowerPoint presentation is ideal
- I
appreciate a librarian or teacher to be present throughout the
presentation.
