John Chipman’s Presentation Details

I like to start my presentations by telling students how a high school English teacher put me on the road to becoming a journalist. My career has taken me across Canada and all over the world … telling stories about remarkable people doing remarkable things. I can follow with some specific examples, how I investigate stories and where they have led me. My presentation can be catered to students particular interests and ages. The crux of my talk is to encourage students to ask questions and be inquisitive.

I try to make my talks as interactive as possible. I try to take examples from their own lives, even within the school, and illustrate how they can examine issues and get answers.

I will present to grades 7 -12
