Gail Nyoka’s Presentation Details

A presentation is an hour in length and consists of some readings from my novel Mella and the N’anga: An African Tale.  This is a story set in ancient southern Africa in what is now Zimbabwe.  The presentation includes a short question and answer period and information on one or more of the following: Cecil Rhodes and the colonization of southern Africa; ancient African civilizations which could include ancient Egypt.

I am happy to work with students in grades 3 - 8.

Two classes (60 children) are the maximum number of students per presentation.  I ask that teachers remain with their classes for the presentation.

I offer workshops for grades 6 - 12.
Maximum group size: 30.

I also offer Grade 12 Writers Craft Workshops.

The library or classroom is the best place for my presentation.  I am not equipped for gymnasium presentations.

I require a board or flip charts.
