Authors' Booking Service
is pleased to announce that author Eric Walters is now booking
presentations with us through the Forest of Reading
program.
Eric has presented to
over 1.5 million students across the country and around the world.
His presentations combine drama, story and audience participation. He
wants his audience to not only become more avid readers, but writers.
His presentations are very multi-media and they are specifically
designed to promote aspects of the writing process, and are grade
specific.
Fees: Payable ON THE DAY of presentation by cheque made out to Eric Walters.
Full day at one school: (200 students per presentation) $925.00 plus H.S.T.
($120.25) = $1,045.25
Full day split between two schools: $462.50 plus H.S.T. ($60.12) = $522.62
Half Day: $500 plus H.S.T. ($65.00) = $565.00
NO MILEAGE or EXPENSE FEES and I actually love driving so anywhere from Kingston to Windsor and ‘up North’ a few hours above Toronto is never a problem – we just have to be sensitive around weather issues.

A whole lot of them, including winner of three Silver Birch Awards (Stars, Camp X, Trapped in Ice), three Red Maple Awards (Rebound, We All Fall Down, Safe as Houses) and the White Pine (Shattered). My wife also likes me a lot and my dogs think I should win something around best long dog walks, ball thrower and treat giver.
Presentation Details
Option One: Two per half day, four in a full day, 100 students per presentation, 50 - 60 minutes in length.
Option Two: One per half day, two in a full day, 200 students per presentation, 70 – 80 minutes in length.
Equipment: I do a variety of presentations and may require a SCREEN for use with my digital projector, some long tables for display, and masking tape. I bring my own sound equipment. A room where it can be dark obvious enhances the digital presentation.
Lunch: I often bring along my own lunch and eat between schools when presenting at two schools in one day.
Fees: Payable ON THE DAY of presentation by cheque made out to Eric Walters.

Location: Libraries are best, but I understand other settings may be necessary.
Grade levels: Grades 2 – 12 with an understanding that the smallest grade range in each separate presentation as possible is ideal. I do various presentations based on grade levels or grade clusters and I’ve yet to figure out a single presentation that can equally appeal to grade 3 and grade 8 students.
Autographs: I never mind signing anything – the only issue is time between schools.
