Service is pleased to announce that Governor-General award winning
young adult author, Arthur Slade,
is now scheduling visits to Ontario schools in May 2010. His hour long
presentations are $325 plus GST each, or four sessions for $1000 plus
GST.
Art is also available
for virtual “SKYPE” visits to Ontario schools anytime during the school
year. These specially priced events can concentrate on JOLTED or any
other book by the author.

Arthur Slade’s work has won the Governor
General’s Award (Dust), the Mr. Christies Award (Dust)
and been selected as a CLA honour book for Young Adults (Tribes).
His work has also won a Diamond Willow Award, been nominated for an
Edgar, the Red Maple Award, The Red Cedar Award, the Manitoba Young
Reader’s Choice Award and the Ruth Schwartz award. A complete

ARTHUR’S PRESENTATION DETAILS
Arthur will give an
introduction to how he became a writer, read from his work, and
describe the writing process. Each presentation is interactive and
includes a multi-media aspect that illuminates the historical or
mythological aspects of his work. He will also briefly cover his comic
book work. (Talks can be tailored to specific topics on
request.) Each hour-long presentation ends with sufficient time
for Q&A.
I will present to:
Grade 4-12 with a
maximum three grade span per presentation.
I can be flexible
on grade 3, but my books don't go any younger.
Maximum number
of students per session: 300
I am pleased to

Professional Development Workshops
I am
comfortable in a classroom, library, auditorium or gymnasium.
I
require: Projector/screen/table for “real” visits. Skype or iChat
capable computer for virtual visit.
